Privacy Policy

ReadSprint respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage or delete your information.

Data we collect

• Cover images you upload (stored only if you choose to save a summary)
• Account information when you sign in with OAuth (email, user id)
• Quiz attempts and generated summary metadata (when you save or take quizzes)
• Signed-in study notes, flashcard progress, and review dates so you can return to them across devices
• Subscription identifiers, payment status and amounts, and reminder preferences
• Basic analytics (IP, request timestamps) to enforce fair use limits
• Website usage analytics via Google Analytics (only with your consent)

Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our site and improve our service. This is only enabled if you accept cookies via our consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser data. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data such as page views, time spent on pages, and general user behavior patterns.

How we use data

We use uploaded covers to generate chapter summaries with our AI service. If you save a summary, we store the generated text and any associated quiz attempts so you can access them later. We may store anonymized logs (for example, hashed IPs) to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse.

Third-party services

ReadSprint uses third-party providers for authentication and AI generation (for example Supabase and OpenAI). Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details about their data handling.

Study storage and reminders

Signed-in study records are stored with your account in Supabase, with a browser copy for offline use. Guest reviews remain in that browser until you sign in and choose to import them. Signing out separates the account copy from another reader's session; clearing browser data removes the local copy but does not delete records already saved to your account. Saving a book during signup uses temporary browser session storage to remember your destination.

Optional due-review emails require separate opt-in in Review today and can be turned off there. Resend processes the recipient email and reminder message when this feature is enabled. These reminders do not include your private notes. Dodo Payments processes checkout information; ReadSprint stores billing references and payment/refund amounts to manage access. Recall answers and private notes are not sent as analytics event properties.

Your choices

If you have an account, you can delete saved summaries or request that we delete your account data by contacting support. Uploaded cover images that are not saved are not stored long-term.
